What's my recourse when I lend out my lawnmower to some stranger and it comes back with a broken blade. Or doesn't come back at all?
Worse yet, what happens when I borrow someones cheap old Wal-mart air conditioner and it predictably breaks while in my possession. Now I owe them a brand new one?
Plus, you can practically guarantee that you will need the item as soon as you lend it out.
