Intelligent Bartering or Outright Communism?
It's a slippery slope from here to spouse-sharing, is it not?

Rude Is Taught!

Very good article here on how humans are biologically disposed towards *help*:
We May Be Born With An Urge To Help
What is the essence of human nature? Flawed, say many theologians. Vicious and addicted to warfare, wrote Hobbes. Selfish and in need of considerable improvement, think many parents.
But biologists are beginning to form a generally sunnier view of humankind. Their conclusions are derived in part from testing very young children, and partly from comparing human children with those of chimpanzees, hoping that the differences will point to what is distinctively human.
The somewhat surprising answer at which some biologists have arrived is that babies are innately sociable and helpful to others. Of course every animal must to some extent be selfish to survive. But the biologists also see in humans a natural willingness to help.
When infants 18 months old see an unrelated adult whose hands are full and who needs assistance opening a door or picking up a dropped clothespin, they will immediately help...
Time forbids me from summarizing it and commenting with due justice. So read it for yourselves.
I may have to look into these sources some more; a couple seem like they really *get it*.
I'm sure I've said it before - it's the *planners*, economic and social, whose institutions and agitprop turn naturally humane beings into selfish, rude, sons of b*tches.
Furthermore, if the lumpen masses are inherently social and compassionate....then that obviates the need for Big Government paternalism, redistribution, AND its very existence!
This is a subject at the forefront of my brain these days.
You see, I just recently realized that I've spent my entire 35 year existence in the furtherance of MY dreams, MY pleasure, MY self-amusement, MY education, and MY future.
I can darn well teach my kids academic subjects with the utmost competency.
But it hasn't been demonstrated that I know the slightest thing about living a charitable or others-centric life.
So on this subject, I'm going to have to learn and teach at the same time.
Later this month, I'm scheduled to do my very first act of off-my-ass, non-financial charity in one of the local hoods.
I have to start somewhere...and better late than never, right?

Share the Earth?
What does "sharing" have to do with clean air and clean water?
Sharing is Commi-speak.
And as I have said more than a few times - environmentalism is the handmaiden of socialism. I kid you not. Take it from the horse's own mouth.
From Socialist Party USA's 2005 Earth Day statement,
On Earth Day, concerns over capitalism's stewardship of Mother Earth or lack thereof take center stage for a day in ecological conscious circles, among left-leaning progressives and the working class. The well-being of our Mother Earth and the mere existence of our human race should lead all of us to seriously recognize what kind of "miracle," if any, we intend to bequeath to future generations if we don't organize locally, nationally and internationally to end capitalism's profit-driven exploitation of our natural environment and resources.
Join the Socialist Party USA as we work towards the restoration of the integral bond between humanity and Mother Earth and recognize that the mechanisms in capitalism that oppress and alienate humans are the same mechanisms that destroy the environment.

Of course, the dirty little secret is that the former Soviet Union and Communist China have the filthiest air and water around. Yeah, let's copy their economic systems.

Turning Kids Into Communists
We promise to share. We promise to care. All together as a team!!!
Same agitprop, different kids' show (The Doodlebops).
There's nothing compassionate about creating wholesale dependencies...
And there's nothing funny about the corporate sponsorship of statism.

It's All Propaganda

I saw a television ad the other day for a DVD from The Big Comfy Couch - a children's "educational" program.
Here's one of the promotional lines from the ad,
"....teaching your kids to share, to care, and to have fun."
Hmmm.
The whole package sure smells like a diet of socialism and heathen self-amusement to me.
Remember I am firmly against sharing.
Don't fall into this trap of thinking I am overly cynical. Consider that these kids shows all fit that same template. Barney, Elmo, and the Wiggles could teach children about family, faith, and self-reliance but they never do. As John Gatto has written, children's programming is always encouraging the brats to "imagine" and wend their own way through life without any authoritative guidance, parental, religious, or otherwise.
It's all deliberate subversion with the end of turning your kids into "blank slates" - not creative, independent thinkers. I can't expound today but do some research and scrutinize the shows for yourself if you don't believe me.
Let me try to convince you this way. The multi-cultural nonsense is thoroughly apparent on these children's shows/networks, no?
Now, have you ever seen the multi-culti crap far removed from agitprop and its attendant God-less heathenism?
I certainly haven't.
Handmaidens, co-travelers, whatever you want to call them...
Like everything else these days, they come in a bundle.
