Not Trading Update - July 2010
Last week I made a small trade/investment.
I bought more puts in Simon Property Group - you know, the mall REIT.
This time I bought January 2012 65-strike puts for something like 8.50.
Obviously, with those puts I'm banking on reality asserting itself in the stock market sometime in the next 1.5 years. As I've told y'all, pretty much all I'm doing now is buying out-month puts.
Since it's been a while, I'll rehash my current disinvestment portfolio:
SPG - Jan 2011 50-strike puts, Jan 2011 65-strike puts, Jan 2012 65-strike puts.
SRS
short GE
FAZ
GS - Jan 2011 100-strike puts
WFC - Jan 2011 22.5-strike puts, Jan 2012 20-strike puts, Jan 2012 25-strike puts
JPM - Jan 2011 30-strike puts
I looked at the market last week for the first time in what felt like a month. This is not easy to do - I have to avert my eyes every time I come across a color TV with the Dow in the margin and whatnot. I'm going to try to tune it out for another extended period now; I'm going to try to just sit back and relax with all my long-term put options.
