So I just finished reading John Steinbeck's The Grapes of Wrath
.I've heard some *wimps* complain that it was too depressing.
But I thought it was absolutely terrific - except that the ending, er non-ending, left me panting for more.
It most definitely belongs near the top of any must-read list of American literature.
I think EVERYONE, particularly today as the economy is spiraling down the toilet, ought to have read this book and that other great book on the previous Depression.
