THIS Is Funny
He apparently said it *90 times* this past week in speeches, "PASS THIS BILL".
I can honestly say I have no idea what he's talking about - no idea what the *bill* is as I don't follow the din of contemporary politics.
But I'm quite sure that more rules, regs, and money printing in Washington isn't going to help the economy.
I do thank him for the damn good, teleprompter-skipping, laugh though!

It's about asking 0.3% of households who make over a million dollars to pay the same tax rate you do.
Thanks.
But what will that accomplish besides feel-good class warfare?
We have a *cost* problem, not a revenue one, right?
Those wealthy people will simply move even more $$$$ out of the country. And they'll eliminate jobs for the average Joe.
Class warfare is, minimally, a rhetorical deflection from reality.
I most liberally think everyone's income taxes should be reduced - the .3% included.
Cnut,
"Class warfare is, minimally, a rhetorical deflection from reality."
Nice phrase, thanks for that.
Anon,
It's not asking if jail is the alternative ...
Also, dividends and long term capital gains (much of the wealthy's income) are taxed at a lower rate because the original money invested was already *post-tax*.
In other words, rich people make their money, pay their income taxes and then reinvest in the economy - generating products, services, jobs and thus more tax revenue for the government.
So why should they be double-taxed on this money AT ALL? How is that fair?
