Still Searching For Fitness Hacks

I might get me one of these things this week.

Yeah it's a beast of a space-eater...

But one of my problems is that I don't get enough aerobic exercise.

I've always hated running (it's most unkind to my achy back) and just haven't been able to get going with full immersion swimming.

So I'm thinking that some work with the bags may finally be the answer to my cardio training deficiency.

Have any of y'all ever used these? Thoughts?

I mean I'm not even sure that it is a cardio workout. My arms are already ripped so what I'm looking for is a good sweat and maybe some more ab-work.  I'd like to kick the heavy bag too - so long as I don't hit the support structure!

Jabs and kicks after some good core exercises like ironman and finishing off with some good stretches, is an EXCELLENT workout. You can see changes in a month's time. How did you try out the immersion swimming?

How did I try Immersion Swimming?

I borrowed the video and book from my library.

Have been trying the technique whenever I've been in a pool/pond for the past 10 months.

I did find one huge key - *holding my hand out/down longer before I stroke the other arm forward*. You have to pause the arm and not jack-knife, alternate them.

Breathing properly is still a problem. Local dad down the street is further along with this and is helping me out.

Wish I had the balls/wet suit to swim in Long Island Sound 500 yards from my house!

Bought the punching bag stand yesterday. I need gloves now because the bag is not leather and will probably eat up my knuckles. Any suggestions?
