Hating On Planet Earth

Little bit of profanity in here, sorry.

I love how 40% of what gets thrown in eco-pagan recycling bins ends up in landfills anyway.

And I love how when people come to my house, try to dispose of an item, ask me where my "recycling is" and I have the privilege of declaring that "we don't recycle."

Before they can even digest that HERESY, I follow up with a declaration of how much I hate the environment.

Destroying This Country!

These are sad times.

The whole country is collecting food stamps and pensions from freshly printed money.

And they think because the stock market is roaring....that all is well.

The media is of course a bunch of lying SOBs; the public is fat, lazy, and even more grossly ignorant about what's really going on.

The government has grown out of control - probably beyond the point where it could ever peacefully be reined in. At this point it's pure tyranny.

In an unfunny "laugher":

In the statement, the Fed says that the economy is growing moderately and that some indicators of labor market conditions have shown improvement. But it noted that rising mortgage rates and government spending cuts are restraining growth.

What effin' government spending cuts?

The Fed (and every other institution, public OR private) has become a naked advocate for Big Gov, er for itself! And the media of course propagates this without any scrutiny. Washington press releases are essentially "news" these days.

I can't help but feel like I'm watching a train wreck, in HD, in slow motion.

I do try to avert my eyes...

Heck, I'll probably get audited for writing these blog posts one day...

Hilarious License Place

I saw a DC plate the other day, read the slogan, and nearly suffered a chortling injury!

Do you get it?

It's a bold complaint by DC people. They aren't a *State*.

But taken from another perspective, ironically, it may as well be the rest of America's complaint about WASHINGTON DC!

Reality Counterargument

I wish people would read some books about what the Depression was like.

It wasn't just the commoners that suffered.

Many people that had been previously well-off experienced serious pain - pain that was probably on a relative basis far more excruciating.

Happy DEPENDENCE Day!

Big Government is a Hyrda-headed monster...

And I seriously doubt the capacity of today's Americans to slay it - not when our best entrepreneurs peddle socialism, not while the jurassic ruling class continues to feather its nests on the backs of future generations.

Robbing The Robbers!

So what's the difference between them stealing from you and vice versa?

Oh, yeah, they have the Big Government thugs on their side!

A plumber just left my house. He changed the *insides* of two toilets.

Guess how much?

With tax, $283.51.

And he wouldn't leave the house until I paid him, either. No more *billing* because people have been stiffing THEM, back.

I don't blame them even though the premium in my price no doubt is subsidizing those debtors.

$135 an hour for labor? That seems high to me - extraordinarily high actually.

And I love how they mark-up the *parts* which they certainly get for 50% of retail prices...

Hitler - Smiling At His Modern-Day American Counterparts

Story:

State lawmakers in Albany voted this week to make kindergarten mandatory for all 5-year-olds in New York City, lowering the required age for schooling by one year.

Proponents of the measure, which awaits the governor's approval, praised the move as a triumph for thousands of 5-year-olds who are from poor and minority families or have disabilities. Many of these children, they say, are often turned away each year by school officials on grounds of a lack of space and the lack of any requirement that they attend school.

"I think it is a real gain," Norm Fruchter, the senior policy analyst at the Annenberg Institute for School Reform, a nonprofit educational research and policy group, said of the vote. "There is a ton of research about what early-childhood programs do for children, and I think there is a whole bunch of parents of children who, for a variety of reasons, don't register them when they should and then they lose out for a whole year."

Mr. Fruchter said children who miss kindergarten may never recover.

"You're entering behind a lot of the kids in terms of your skills and overall development," he said. "And it is particularly with things like familiarity with the alphabet and with letters and numbers and school routines."

In her State of the City address in February, the City Council speaker, Christine C. Quinn, trumpeted the idea of lowering the compulsory age of schooling to 5, from 6, as one of her prime educational initiatives.

If this becomes law, Ms. Quinn said, "the system could turn no child away."

"It stops the abuse of cherry-picking some 5-year-olds over other 5-year-olds," she said.

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg backs the proposal. In a memo in support, his administration said that ensuring kindergarten for all 5-year-olds would "result in more students getting a strong start in their education."

There are 78,600 students enrolled in kindergarten in the city, a number that has steadily increased in recent years. But Ms. Quinn said that nearly 3,000 children enter first grade each year without having first gone to kindergarten, a figure her office said was based on an analysis of the city's Department of Education enrollment data for recent years.

The Democrat-led State Assembly passed the measure on June 4, and the Republican-led State Senate followed with a 59-to-1 vote on Thursday.

The bill now goes to Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo. He has 10 days, not counting Sundays, to sign or veto the bill before it automatically becomes law.

All that *reasoning* is complete bull$hit. The fact is....it's the young children who spend too much time AMONG OTHER CHILDREN in schools and in daycare are the ones who MAY NEVER RECOVER.

Why did the average 6 year old in 1950 have a 4,000 word vocabulary and yet today's average 6 year old only has a 1,000 word one???

Note how the reasoning is drenched in sympathy for the *poor*, i.e. class warfare. And note how even Republicans voted for this expansion of government.

Pre-school will be mandatory next. And the school year would be longer already if these government clowns weren't so fiscally irresponsible and beholden to the demands of lazy, unionized teachers.

Heaping Burning Coals On The Angry

Don't let the funny pic throw your off....this a post about something I usually steer away from on this here blog, *politics*.

But LeagueIslander just sent me this article - The Power of Cool - which eloquently captures the hypocrisy of our pagan-socialist elite.

If you were already *angry*, that article isn't going to calm you down....I don't think.

Doctors Are A$$holes...

You can read the story here.

While some might be inclined to blame the social workers or lawyers and insurance companies....I blame the doctor who must have called it in - whatever *it* was.

Why? Because he knew darn well what chain of events it would set off.

An isolated case/jerk?

Hardly. In fact a doctor I know pretty well just posted the exact same ignorant anti-midwife comment on FaceBook - maybe only 2 months ago!

I've said it before - *doctors are almost indistinguishable from the worst priests....all salvation/health must go through them*.

And if you resist....they call in the ruffians.

Big Government Has Destroyed The Arts

Artsy people are always whining that no one *supports the arts*...

And they are always panhandling government for subsidies....because, you know, no one will ever paint, draw, write, sing or create anything in the absence of taxpayer funding!

It's total bull$hit of course - akin to saying that *no one will educate poor people*, *no one will perform acts of charity*, "no one will develop alternative energies*,....if the government doesn't do it.

Now if you are a starving artist, bent on your own work....what would be the obvious side-job to help pay your bills???

Yes. It would be TEACHING kids.

But those jobs don't exist for a couple of reasons.

1 - kids learn art in the course of their school curriculum.

2 - parents believe that this *education* actually takes place.

Allow me to explain.

Parents who educate their own, especially those who feel artistically ignorant, are always on the prowl for art classes, resources, and TEACHERS for their children. I speak from personal experience here too.

Now imagine if these 80 million children WERE NOT fraudulently *taught art* in school, and imagine if their parents took the lead in educating them...

Do y'all realize how many art teaching jobs would suddenly become available for these long-haired, coffee-pouring, couch-crashing, starving artists???

Alright I have to include this funny painting of a *starving artist* I just found:

School Apologists = Neo-Nazis!

Here's a terrific read on the sordid, Nazi(!) history of the American government educational system.

Homeschooling - The BIGGEST Threat To Socialism

From that illiberal publication Slate!

Click the link and read the entire Moronic article.

My favorite part was this:

Nor can we allow homeschoolers to believe their choice impacts only their own offspring. Although the national school-reform debate is fixated on standardized testing and “teacher quality”—indeed, the uptick in secular homeschooling may be, in part, a backlash against this narrow education agenda—a growing body of research suggests “peer effects” have a large impact on student achievement. Low-income kids earn higher test scores when they attend school alongside middle-class kids, while the test scores of privileged children are impervious to the influence of less-privileged peers. So when college-educated parents pull their kids out of public schools, whether for private school or homeschooling, they make it harder for less-advantaged children to thrive.
Allow me to translate...

All y'all middle and upper class majorities need to leave your children in those horrible public schools....FOR THE GREATER GOOD! Sacrifice thy own for the sake of Hillary Clinton's *Village*!

What's funny, to me anyway, is how many *secular* homeschoolers will be shocked by this article. Of course most will ignore/dismiss it....but at least a bunch will become annoyed at the aspersion of being *anti-liberal*, *anti-progressive*, or whatever.

The fact remains that educating your own children is the ULTIMATE act of anti-socialism a family can make in 2012 America.

I could even go so far as to turn this around and say....that homeschooling your own kids and not supporting libertarians is a more pronounced demonstration of hypocrisy.

But that would be a little harsh.  I'm pro-anyone who teaches their own despite their false idols, ignorance, misconceptions, latent bigotries,...etc.  After all, some of my best friends (and relatives) are communists!

Okay, now let's go back to arguing over *gay marriage*, green jobs, torture, and all that MORE IMPORTANT stuff...

All Hail The Puppet King!

The thing is, Big Media could have put an end to this if they were the slightest bit inclined. They could still have *their guy* in the White House...

Instead they choose to provide blanket cover - I guess rationalizing in favor of a *larger battle*.

Whatever Obama is, it's important to remember that he's merely a symptom - a symptom of runaway, unaccountable Big Government.

Ron Paul has been gaining steam, despite ZERO media coverage, despite murderous *friendly fire*, despite being anathema to the ruling elites, and despite some of his admittedly wacky stances.

But the people who discount him would be well-served by reading a little history.

Winston Churchill was also Marginalized and considered a loon by the entire political establishment before....before HE SAVED EUROPE from Hitler!

The Last Lion: Winston Spencer Churchill: Alone, 1932-1940 really ought to be REQUIRED READING for young Morons and fossilized Morons alike.

Propaganda Sculpting Reality

Predictable spin!

While I don't follow the din of contemporary politics even a little bit...

I'm 1,000% sure that Newt Gingrich has negligible genuine support among Republicans.

But Big Media (Big Government'ss apparatchik) most certainly wants this loser on the ballot next fall - just as they salivated at facing that Moronic 'old coot' John McCain the last time around.

The only people I've ever even heard talk about Newt Gingrich....are the most devout illiberals within my social circles.

One could easily make the case that the special interest socialists actually would rather Mitt Romney get the nomination...and I won't argue against that hypothesis.

From that it follows that Big Media is just disposed toward building up upstarts for the purpose of weakening the alleged frontrunner/entire field.

Whoever won that debate if anyone actually watched, or cares,....whoever is the frontrunner remains immaterial.

My point is that the news from the big pipe is nothing short of pure propaganda. It's designed to DEFORM rather than inform minds.

Can Colleges Adapt/Change?

Read this article in The Economist that addresses that very question.

FWIW, I'm not optimistic about the ability of higher ed to adapt; or of the ability of Big Government to effect positive change (short of getting its nose out!).

The only Obamian hope/change that will actually lower costs is drastically reduced student lending from the government AND from government sponsored/subsidized institutions. I mean even in the inconceivable case that the Feds start reducing student loans....if the slack is taken up by the same Moronic banks that wrote trillions(?) of bad home loans these past several years it won't do any good.

And the only thing that will might improve teaching is for the Federal government to stop subsidizing research - *welfare for white/asian nerds*.

John Gatto's characterization:

...the organization of colleges around a scheme called "research" (which makes teaching an unpleasant inconvenience).

And research isn't merely wasteful spending.

Its worst aspect is that it effectively POLITICIZES public knowledge and information. And it's why these schools and their elitist denizens have become nothing short of bought-and-sold flacks for Bigger Government.

I predict that ultimately colleges will have adapt....about as well as newspapers adapted to the internet!

Government Lie Of The Day - Illliteracy

Check out this chart:

Only a complete Moron would believe this self-serving Big Government lie - that by 1979 only .6% of Americans were illiterate.

And here's the *summary*:

The higher levels of education attained by young adults in the most recent decades suggest that the overall education level of the population will continue to rise slowly into at least the early 21st century.

Meanwhile, if you took away the graphics and order-by-number menu at McDonalds....business - or at least the speed of the line - there would grind to a halt.
