It looks like the built-in 10x zoom feature on my chintzy digital camera ($180?) works really well. Click on the second pic to see the detail in full bloom.
After this exercise, my first with a somewhat powerful zoom,....I'll forever look askance at those female photographers on the beach with ginormous attached lens. What perverts!

The Droid X has an incredible camera and HD video, too. Dude, I am gonna marry that thing.
