Twisting The Knife In My Shorts - Trades March 12th, 2009
Endured a whole lot more pain with my foundering shorts today.
No flipping stock either. I grabbed some FAZ at 50.24 early in the day, but never got a chance to sell it.
When I got home this evening, I bought another round at 41.27.
I also shorted GE today at 9.45 and 9.62.
I'm about as short as I want to be. I'm going to try my best to avert my eyes for a few days.

Dude, totally feel your pain right now CBro!
My 401k goes up but my brokerage is getting crushed. How the heck does Lewis claim BAC will make money this yr? Is this cherry picking info or pie in the sky hope or were we completely overestimating the severity of the crisis? I obviously tried to catch a falling knife but no matter how much I lose my hair, i have to stick it out. C-nut, do you suffer from ulcers, baldness, hemoroids or whatever humans get when stressed out with trading??
Kfell
I used to get ulcers and while I didn't go bald, I did get gray...no *hemoroids* though, thankfully while I was a broker. No fun going into the weekend down.
C-
As far as your thong...I mean shorts, I predict that late next week things will return to normal (no more buyers).
Kfell,
I suffer from excess self-love. Or, perhaps it's others who suffer from it?
I am not stressed out with this recent personal negative-wealth effect - not yet anyway.
13 years of massive swings have inured me the *pain* as Taylor calls it. Trade small, keep your perspective, AND save some dry powder. I don't think the market will turn down for a while.
Especially now that West Coast Tom is waxing bearish!
